Overall, I'm really pleased with this purchase. I got a sweet deal though. It had more overtones than the Tama Superstars I upgraded from (especially the snare). Once I put Evans EC2's on the toms, EC2 reverse dot on snare and Evans glass heads on res side, These babies sounded better than anything I've played on. Take my advice on the kick drum (I got the 24"). Put an Evans EMAD with the big dampening ring on. Also, cut out a port hole on res side to get that thump infront of the kick. This big bass is a huge plus for the kit. It has a black res head with white logo - not the other way around like pic. The rack tom has a D suspension mount that hangs on loosely, almost like it's missing spacers (I don't know - works fine though). The last thing I want to say is THE BEAUTY of my orange kit is unreal. Better than any of the pics. The color is much darker and richer with amazing wood grain. Best part of the set!!!
