I bought the zxt rock hi-hat pair about 4 months ago. I hit hard, but not too hard. Just the other day when I was practicing with my band I noticed that the top hi-hat had a crack about an inch in from the edge. Maybe i'm just unlucky?

I play fast hardcore like Minor Threat but this is real versitle just because it sounds so good. put it on your finger by itself and explore it with a stick and prepare to be amazed. I record too and it sounds great for that. The only thing is the hammer dimples don't look deep and crazy like in the picture (that's probably a good thing, you don't need your stick tips rebounding in crazy directions).

I actually came to this page to purchase a new hi hat top because mine broke very badly. These hi hats sound AWESOME in acoustic, electric, etc. I play all sabian except for my hi hats. Great sound guys.
