I bought these cymbals from a local music store, without trying them. Big Mistake. The closed hi-hat sound is not musical, and slightly open, its terrible. The Crash sounds more like a gong, and the rides has got way too much sustain. I went to the dealer next day, and bought some Armands. Relief to my ears at last.

I am also a 15 year old drummer, who has recorded with a few artists over my short career, and I think these are amazing. They are fairly high pitched, but any good drummer could adjust fairly easily. Also, you should expect it to be high pitched, seeing as the B in ZBT stands for Bronze, and looking at any other bronze cymbals (Pulse B857, Sabian B8, (and B8 Pro) Zildjian ZXT, etc...) they are all fairly high pitched. The hi hats are great, and have a nice, loud chick. The crashes are nice, but ring for a while. The ride is really the only thing to complain about. It rings forever, but it works fine if you follow it up with a crash. Fast beats work well also. It sounds great, and has a nice bell. Overall, they are great cymbals.

I am a 15 year old drummer who has played with many artists in my short career. I have recorded on over 10 albums with with different artists. I have a CB drum set at the moment, and with all the corrections and modifications to this particular set, it sounds amazing! I bought these cymbals a week ago ... Im not that satisfied with them. The hi hats are okay. They have a nice chick sound but a very loud over bearing open sound. When i bought these i was expecting them to be a lot darker and fuller sounding. The crashes are different ... Very hi pitched, even the eighteen inch crash. The ride, is just very very loud! It rings way to long and has hardly no bell sound. If you're buying these thinking they're awesome and you're gonna do some serious recording with them, don't ... Save your money for something else. But i do suggest these for beginner drummers ...

I bought these cymbals one year ago. They came with the 18in 16in 20in 14in. The bad thing is my 16 in cracked and the cymbal are to thick to remove it. So I could not use it anymore. Other than that they sound pretty good.

These cymbals are a great value. But honestly, they're for beginners only. Even a person who's been playing for only two years will quickly get tired of the way these sound. The hats have a nice chick similar to paiste cymbals, but there is a ton of ring as well (not overtone, but ring), but they sound awesome when played open. The crashes are pretty good, but they ring too long. The ride is the worst part. It rings FOREVER. It has a nice ride sound, and the bell is great, but it just simply doesn't die out. Overall, good for beginners. Cheap, durable, and decent sounding. Zildjian is a good brand, but they need to step it up when it comes to sound. They also need to lower they're prices to make good quality cymbals more affordable. Paiste does a great job of doing that. I recomend that beginners go straight to Paiste 201 cymbals.
