The versatile Zildjian K Custom Dark Crash Cymbal puts out warm, rich sound that cuts through and sings out.

Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, and scores more musical movers have sworn by the deep, dry, shimmering K sound developed in 19th century Turkey.

Unique crash with dry, trashy overtones. Fast response with very quick decay. Speaks quickly, then dies. Very dark and full-bodied. The K Custom cymbals are specially designed to provide more volume and cut with a quicker attack and decay than traditional K Zildjians.

Beautiful Crash

This is perfect for music where you need a musical crash. I use the 16 inch every Sunday morning for worship. It is my main crash and the one I use the most. I love it because it is beautiful and mellow, but bright. And I'm talking about brighter than my 10 inch Avedis splash! But it still is very "rich", so it isn't annoyingly bright. The shimmer is perfect, great decay. The best thing is though that I've used it for almost 4 years, and no cracks, even we DO get loud. As long as you take care of it and hit right, you will be fine. But keep in mind is thin so you can't beat the crap out of it. All in all, the 16 inch K Custom Dark Crash is the best crash I've ever used. Don't let the price scare you away.

Good cymbal, short lifespan

I got the K custom 17" about 7/8 months ago. It's an amazing sounding cymbal but recently it started to develop some cracks, and not even ones that can be cut off, they're right in the middle of the cymbal! I've always looked after it very well and it's just a shame that such a quality cymbal has such a flaw. Not sure if it's just me, but I have heard other people mention that they crack easily also.

I've got the 17" cymbal two months ago. It sounded good when I played with it by myself, but when I played it with the guitars it sounded a lot better. Thats because the guitars will cover up sounds that you might not want, so you will hear just the chaaaa. It would sound good in a concert because it sounds good at far range. I wound definately not use my 17" as my main crash. Too low pitched. So the next one I will get is the 16". That should be a good combination. It also sounds good when riding it. Also good for jazz. It's holding up well, and I don't expect it to break any time soon because I treat it very well. All in All, worth getting, I will definately get more. But A Custom might work for you if you want something brighter, but they crack easier.

I just bought this crash and I have got to say that this is my favorite crash of all time. I also own some K Custom hi-hats and they sound great together with this crash. I was trying to look for the perfect crash whenever I got the money but it was so obvious for me. I own an 18" A Custom crash and I was wondering what kinda crash would go good with it and this is the sound I was looking for. It's a great crash. Five star all the way!

Great crash, I've had it for about a year, I canīt get enough of it, goes great with my A CUSTOM 18 crash, and my z custom 20 ride, great for playing jazz.
