I've used this cymbal for many years.....in many different situations. You can beat the tar out of it for a strong rock ride sound....or you can play it lightly for a blues or even country gig. Plenty of definition on the bell when struck with the shoulder of the stick....or a nice clear ping when struck with the tip.

Sure....It's a "Rock" ride.....but it can be used for less rock situations too.

I own the 20 inch ride. It has a lot of wash. The only real definition you get is from the bell. I am not complaining though, I also use an A Custom ping ride so that is where I get my definition when I need it. This is an awesome ride for keeping a nice steady sound going.

hey guys, this cymbal is aight, but if you're looking for a good distinct ping sound I wouldn't go with this one....I have to hit it right near the bell or on the bell every time to get the sound I want which I don't like. Other than that the cymbal is a quality cymbal. Sound prefernce is what it's all about.

It is a great ride, it just takes some getting used to. it is very loud and overhelming at times, but once you get used to it, it's awesome.
