I got this pack back in july and so far its the best purchase I've made for my kit. They are awesome sounding but some good advice is make sure you play them in a open area because when I first got them I played em in my room and I thought I had just spent oodles of cash on some average sounding cymbals but after playing them in a gym with our pep band they sounded amazing.
So get this pack and you wont be dissapointed, but if you have the money check out the HHX's from sabian. I play those on a regular basis at school and they sound great with any kind of music.

AMAZING CYMBALS

I was looking for a good quality, good sounding cymbal. It also needed to be durable and take a beating. I had a choice between the Sabian AAX and the Zildjian A customs. The guy there played them both, and right away I could tell the Zildjian's were way louder, and had a powerful, cutting sound. The AAX cymbals were warmer, and didn't have that cutting sound. Since I am a metal drummer, I wanted a cymbal that would be loud and keep up with the big Marshall Halfstack my guitar player has. People say Zildjian aren't for metal... I beg to differ. GREAT BUY!! Get these and you won't be dissapointed.

I don't have the pack, but I have mostly A custom cymbals. I absolutely love them, still, which is saying something since I purchased them when I was thirteen and I've played tons of styles of music since then. They got me through a jazz 5 peice, a ska band, poppy bands, and even one psuedo punk endeavor. I don't think they'd be good for metal, they seem to bright for that to me. I would recommend the 6" splash on top of the pack, it's such a fun little cymbal. Go over to your local store to check them outin person if you can, but trust me, you'll find a better price here when you're ready to buy.

Zildjian cymbals beat all

I have a hodge podge of cymbals in my kit and only one Zildjian. I really only like one of the cymbals in my kit, my 15" A custom crash. These cymbals have been made by Zildjian since the 1700s and I don't see nor have I heard any cymbals that sound better. I was looking at this pack thinking I could get a better deal than if I purchased them separately. It's the "traces of silver" that I believe make these cymbals sound so unique. The A Custom line is a lighter weight cymbal and I'd imagine not intended for the louder heavier types of music. However, I mostly play Pop and rock and these cymbals come closer to making the sounds I hear on records then any others I've played or owned.

I purchased these cymbals recently, I had always wanted a nice sounding, good set of cast Zildjian cymbals and these were just that. As soon as I put them on and played a bit with them I wasnt AMAZED but I liked them. That night, however, I played a gig and that all changed. They were amazing. To get their best sounds out you need to really play them in a big open setting(not just a small room). I'm loving them.
