One word to describe these cymbals is just amazing. They both have a trashy sound and work great when put on a closed hi hat cymbal arm because you can get a great trashy sound out of both. I like to play them together with a china plash. Great accents to a kit but a bit pricey. BUY THESE

For this price, the splash cymbal has a great sound for my tastes with a medium tone to it, but the china cymbal has a strange sound to it that I'm edgy about; a considerable deal nonetheless. (I have heard rumors about a better sound by stacking them, though.)

I shopped around for an affordable china. These cymbals can really give your set some variety. The china is dark and funky, but that is what you want. The splash was pleasently very nice sounding with a cutting dark and dirty wash. The splash has actually become my favorite splash. I just hope they last because both cymbals are thin. Just take it easy on them!

I bought these two separately because I used to be a very budgeted drummer. After a year the china is still in good shape, great for accents. How ever, I was disgusted with the splash. Breaking only after a month or so, this has got to be one of the worst splashes out there. It sounds like hitting a china and a dead cat at the same time.

A frien of mine has these cymbals stacke as if they were Mike Portnoy's Max Stax cymbals and they sound awesome. I'll get one of these ASAP to do the same thing. And for the price tag you can't complain about it.
