I purchased this drum as an active reggae musician.My band and I gig weekly at various local night spots,some with excellent acoustics and others not so good. This drum is used often and meets my expectations each and every time.It has excellent sound quality and really takes all I beaten.

If you want something that will project large amounts of sound in a live jam this is you're drum. Amazing low end and very responsice slaps. I play with multiple people and use this all the time. I take it camping a lot, so bag that comes with is very nice as well. you can't get a better drum for this price! promise! Great for reggae/rock/folk or anything you want.

I have owned this djembe for a year and a half and have been extremely happy with it. Every time I play in an acoustic setting with a band or by myself, I always get compliments on how good the sound range is. It is very tough and lightweight, and sounds great when is mic'd.

For a couple of gigs with another percussion buddy, I used his djembe for some songs. The first time I played it, I was amazed! The bass notes are so much more deep and distinguishable than that of a djembe with the price twice this much. It even gives great slaps! DO NOT judge this djembe by it's price. I own a few expencive djembes and none compare to this one.
