I got a great deal on this snare drum...

I got a great deal on this snare drum half a year ago, which is the reason why I bought it - and I didn't regret it for one second. It's such a beautiful finish and the lugs look awesome, it really has become the mighty center of my drumkit :D It comes with a coated Evans G1 on top and a 300 Hazy on the bottom, which is a good start. If you don't like too much overtones, they also give you a muffling ring that you can put on if you want (I personally like a little bit of tape more). Even if you do, doesn't change the fact that this drum blows you away. Especially the rimshots are so powerful, never played a wooden snare drum that was that loud :D But if you hit it soft, it still sounds great. The only negative thing I could say is, that the Warlord drums are quite expensive, and I probably wouldn't have payed the full price for it. But go try it out and decide yourself, If you got the money you won't regret buying this great snare drum.

I just got my masai.... this is an absolutely gorgeous drum. Case in comes in is high quality, and the stock heads are nice evans G1 coated and 300 resonant side. I tuned it up to the same pitch as my maple black panther, blew the panther away. Sound is so much fatter, its got the crack you want to cut through dense music, but all the depth and warm lower overtones you want for just about any other application. Very versatile, great sound. My only complaint would be that it is a little overpriced. Could be cheaper, but definitely worth it.

I was doing some drum shopping at a local drum shop and I found this snare. I set it up on one of their drums and started cranking out some beats. This snare is absolutly stunning! I got playing everything from jazz to blast beating death metal and it was able to withstand and sound perfect. Another thing I found with this snare is its playability, I love the way everytime I hit the thing my stick vibrated off my hands so naturally and so perfect. This is a great snare! I definetly recommending it to anybody who is looking for a great snare tone! And I can't wait to pick mine up soon!

I have had this snare for about 3 weeks so I've had a few gigs to test it out. This snare is amazing. You can crank it down tight and it sounds nice or you can tune it to a nice fat sound. I had to mess with some heads to get the big fat sound I wanted but this thing sounds huge. I played the Valkyrie and I would have to say the Masai is more verastile. You really can't go wrong with this snare. I love it.

I just received this snare 2 weeks ago and I've used it in lots of band practice. It sounds amazing! They're the best snare drum I've ever played on! I'd tried Black Panther or some custom snare and nothing beats this snare! Bubinga wood is the best shell for drum! The design itself looks beautiful! If you have the money, I would recommend everyone of you to get this snare! You won't be disappointed with it!
