I've been playing the 5x14 for the past 5 years and love this snare. Tunes within a wide range easily and holds well. Super responsive and articulate with a great crack on rimshots. A couple years ago I bought a DW kit displayed at the NAMM show which came with their "Edge" snare. While the DW is a really nice drum, truthfully it sits in the corner of my studio. I prefer the Aronoff snare by far. Highly ecommended.

I have been playing this snare for the past two years. I have over the past twenty year never been more pleased with the performance of any drum. crisp tight sound and keeps a true tuning under many playing conditions.

I own the 5x14 version. It has a crisp attack and an especially satisfying rim shot. It is easy to tune and just feels great all around. I've been playing on it for about 5 years now and never had a problem. It has been a pleasure to play.

This snare has great sound and look
