9in Pad Bottom 9in Pad Top Crash Cymbal Kick Pad Back Kick Pad Front Module Back

The Simmons SD7PK Electronic Drum Set is the next step up from the popular SD7K, with upgraded components such as 9" Pro tom pads, Pro dual-zone snare pad, and Pro rack and clamps to get you up and playing in minutes.

The feel on these electronic drums is incredibly lifelike, with over 300 realistic sounds and an expressive hi-hat. The bass drum pad accommodates a double pedal. With a dual-zone snare pad, 20 preset kits, and space for 30 user kits, the Simmons SD7PK delivers state-of-the-art electronic sounds with USB connectivity at an unbeatable price.

No matter what style you play, you owe it to yourself to explore the world of recording and performance possibilities that electronic percussion offers. The Simmons SD7PK kit has live, electronic drum pads and hand percussion options letting you add exotic sounds that would otherwise require a large and space-consuming collection of instruments. Drum giants like Vinnie Colaiuta and Josh Freese incorporate electronic drums into their live kits, giving them a far broader palette to work from. Plus, with many bands playing live to sequenced backgrounds, electronics are essential for triggering and interacting with your backing tracks. In the studio, the wide variety of sample libraries available makes electric drum sets more useful than ever. Just play the song, and use the Simmons SD7PK's MIDI signal to trigger your choice of samples, and you'll have drum tracks that can be endlessly altered as you mix. Replace the snare, kick or toms, or combine multiple samples for a massively powerful wall of sound.

Bass pedal sold separately.

Simmons SD7PK - Save up for Roland!

I bought the Simmons SD7PK Electronic Drum Set and once set up and played for a day I just couldn't stand it. It felt like a toy and not like a real electronic kit. The kick pad felt like kicking a rock. No bounce whatsoever. Most of the kits sounded silly and maybe 2 of the 30+ kits sounded somewhat real. Simmons was the leader in electronic drums in the 80's but they are way behind in this area today. After 2 days I boxed this kit back up and bought a used Roland TD3 for the same price! I am extremely pleased with the Roland kit. It is light years beyond this kit. The difference in feel, playability and sounds is staggering. I spent several days agonizing over this purchase and wound up very happy with the Roland kit. Don't make the same mistake I made!!

Good features, nice upgrade from SD7K

Definitely an upgrade from the regular SD7K with all rubber drum pads,, no plastic around the edges so you don't hear anything if you hit on them accidently. I haven't yet messed around with all the features and voices, but there's enough to keep me busy. The hi-hat pedal didn't work at first, then all of a sudden it did a few days later! Go figure. Everythings good can't knock it too much, except for a few things (probably noted by others on other simmons drums). It's not as light and portable as I thought, the rack is aluminum and the clamp tighteners are plastic and feel like they'll break if overtightened. I thought the pads would move outta place if I hit them too hard, but I play through a bass amp for now so a quick turn of the volume knobs takes care of that. Other than that, a nice first elec. set and I'd recommend to anyone!
