I bought this drum for one of my kids thinking I would get a basic entry level drum that would be replaced in a couple of years if she gets as serious about it as I think she would. I played it a little when I got it and was AMAZED at how good of a drum this was. An amazing bargain for the money. I could see this being a part of larger setup, just to get a higher sound than a normal sized conga. It's got a pretty good low response as well. This is an amazing little drum for the money, highly recommended.
