The Sabian Xs20 Medium Thin Crash has a bold, updated, professional look with hand-lathing cuts of wide blade grooves into the surface. This updated look combines with B20 "cast" bronze, the metal played by the pros-delivering a bright, musical and extremely serious sound. Sabian's super-hard and musical B20 bronze are formed to shape using innovative and cost-saving Sabian technology.

What makes the Xs20 crash cymbal so special is that this is 100% B20, the magical alloy that is pure Sabian "cast" bronze, the most durable and musical of all cymbal metals... the highest tin... the metal played by the pros, including Chad Smith, Jose Pasillas, Mike Portnoy, and Josh Eppard. It took ten years of research to design the world's first and finest budget-priced B20 bronze cymbal. Xs20 is the first B20 bronze cymbal to offer high quality at such a low price.

Another Sabian innovation. Order today.

I was looking for something decent to replace a cracked a custom but didn't have a lot of cash to spend on a nice cymbal. I decided to get the 16" XS20 medium thin, and man was that a good choice. It isn't the best cymbal in the world, but it is the best in the world for the price no doubt! I like fast cymbals and this mixes very well with my AA and AAX and is brighter than both so it is PERFECT for accents. The brilliant finish is an added bonus because it makes the cymbal sound much clearer and crisper when compared to the traditional finish. The only little problem it has is a slight "gongy" undertone that is usually customary to b8 cymbals due to their higher copper content. It is not at all noticeable in the mix, just when you hit the cymbal alone. If you are pondering any Sabian or Zildjian b8 beginner cymbals, save your money and buy these bad boys instead. You get a much better cymbal for a similar price.

I was looking for a cymbal that had a clear, washy sound, and could cut through the mix without being too loud. in the past i used sabian vaults, and they were great, but were way to loud for my gretsch catalina mod kit. i just bought the 18 Medium Crash and the 20 inch ride to also use as a crash, and they are exactly what i wanted. I chose these over the AAX series, and that's saying a lot. don't knock them until you try them

When I first got the cymbal all of that was true but after a little playing the cymbal seemed to become broken in i suppose and now sounds a lot better. There is shimmer to it. It is not an AAX crash when it comes to volume or overall sound but for the money im very pleased with my buy. and iv beaten the hell out of it for a month and its only getting better.

This Cymbal is totally Dece. I bought this beast for real cheap used and it's previous owner obviously used nylon tips. It looked really horrible but it's sound was what counted. It sounds great and works well with my Promark Hot Rods. This is my first crash cymbal but as a dork who spends 80% of his life on this site reading stuff, my decision to buy this was informed. If you can't afford better, buy this. It's great.

Even though this cymbal may have a professional look and sharp appearance, playing it is a different story. The Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crashes, which are the cymbals I have now that I thought would not be as good as the new Sabian Xs20 I was getting, turned out to be of much better sound, quality, and value. The Xs20 is a very low and quiet cymbal, and when I put on the head phones and start recording, the B8Pro's sound much more clearly and louder. The Xs20s seemed like a whisper. So in general, a mediocre cymbal, which I recommend to those who want a quiet, low pitched sounding cymbal.
