I Bought this pack about 5 months ago, and the first thing I noticed was the splashes were great. The 10" splash was very like the 10" HHX splash, but the sound was a little more glassy. I would say this splash is between Mike Portnoy's 11" splash, and a 10" HHX splash. The 8" splash is great too, just smaller. And the china, first of all it has a great quality and finish. The sound is oriental, not very dark, and not very powerful. But for riding, this china is great. For the syncopated patterns like china-ride or crash-china or china off beats, this china is AWESOME..

I would suggest this set to any player who is looking for distinctive and rich sounds in their setup.
