For whatever reason, I've never really liked sabian cymbals. it's not the sound, or anything else, I just don't like them. This cymbal changed my mind. I was playing at my local drum store, and there was a set that had a ride cymbal I was interested in. I started a groove, and crashed on this cymbal. I immediately fell in love with it. It has very quick response, and a very soft, washy sound. Thats not to say it's quiet. It's very loud, but it has a soft sound to it, not like other chinas I've played that are very pingy and washy. This cymbal is perfect- if you want a good china, buy this right now. A bit pricey, but worth it.

This China I bought about a year ago and it is still holding up perfectly. I have this china along with an 18" Oriental China trash and an 18" B8Pro Chinese. This HHX china is VERY trashy and VERY LOUD-It cuts through any music~and I play death/black/metal. I recommend this China to anyone but I Have heard that this China is a required taste.
