The fast, super-bright response of the medium-heavy APX Solid Crash Cymbal is loaded with robust, high-pitched cutting power that blows through any band playing the high end of the volume scale.

APX, a professional cymbal series, is from award-winning sound innovators: Sabian. The sheer attack of APX cuts through any music. To create this intensity, Sabian introduced new production processes that also result in a unique appearance for these cymbals. Featuring a 'High-Decibel' design the APX Solid Crash cymbal sounds super-bright, tonally tight, focused, and aggressive beyond belief to rip through rock-heavy grooves and blistering power chords like a laser through darkness. With APX, nothing gets in your way.

Sabian APX cymbals are ideal for cutting through the raging guitars, heavy riffing and high-powered output of hard rock and heavy metal bands. Top drummers already playing APX include Ray Luzier (Korn), Neil Sanderson (Three Days Grace), George Kollias (Nile), John Kelly (Type-O Negative), and Rich Beddoe (Finger Eleven).

Just got this cymbal in the 15" variation. It has a very glassy sound to it, almost like white noise. I am totally pleased with my purchase. Let's just see how long it holds up to my heavy playing!

I purchased a 20" two months and I love the sound. This cymbal cuts through any volume has an excellent bell and sounds just as good being played light or bashing it. When Sabian says sonically matched they mean it. Good job Sabian on this line, I'm a customer for life.

I bought this as a replacement for my primary crash, which was an AAXPlosion. The result isn't what I was expecting, though not that bad either.

If you get a chance make sure to check this cymbal out before buying, it has a very bright almost glassy sound which some may not like or be expecting.

True to the description it does cut through very good though. I don't regret the purchase at all, it just wasn't what I was expecting.

I just got my 20 inch crash in the other day, played it a little bit, and man am I pleased. It's got the quality of any other top of the line Sabian cymbal, and it's definitely made for those of us with a heavier hand than the rest. My only regret is that I got the 20 inch. The attack is a little too deep toned for me, but the wash is very nice and high pitched and this cymbal blends very well with my others. I'm sure it will sound much better recorded.

I bought the solid 16 crash about two weeks ago. Even though it's made with the cheaper b8 alloy don't let that fool you. this thing is glassy and crisp. Sabian kind over hyped the high decible design, because my zxt rock crash is almost as loud. For the money I don't know if you can get a cymbal as good this from anywhere else. The only thing is now I wish got the thin APX crash. SABIAN FOREVER!
