I've played the 18" xplosion and stage crashes for a few years... and then cracked them both on the same day! These have been amazing cymbals, they have put up with a ton of abuse on the road, and sound absolutely amazing. I am however going to give Zildjian another try here, since I'm hoping durability may be a bit better. I still cannot say enough good about these cymbals, and Sabian is always on the cutting edge of new sounds as well.

I have the 16 and let me say this is one of the most amzing cymbals ever. The response is instant and the sound is so crisp. Amzing buy. Definatly a great cymbal for the price.

i own the 20" aax-plosion. it's a great sounding crash. hit it hard or tap it lightly, great response. i thought it might be to big for country rock but it's perfect for any style.

I had the 17 inch since 2006 and it is still in nice shape. This is one of the top 7 Sabian cymbals.

I can tap these crashes with brushes or wail on them with sticks, these cymbals always respond like none other. The 16" is very versatile, and the 18" is great for crashing as well as riding. Awesome response, great wash, and shimmering cut.
