I own the 14" hi-hats and they sound really good. I wish everything drum related wasn't so expensive but if you have the money get these cymbals.

I've had these hats for a while now, so I've had them in a lot of different musical situations, and they've not sounded out of place yet.

The wash is great, the perforated wave edge moves a lot of air so keep 'em close to each other even when you're playing open and they sizzle just right! I've found it slightly difficult to get the right mix of wash and chick when playing tight funk, but I'm sure people with different playing styles won't have a problem. For Latin, playing with the foot is great, the chick is nice and airy, not clunky AT ALL.

They're great in rock bands, move enough air in jazz fusion with a nice swish, and have even work for me in swing. The place they excel for me is recording however. They just sound PERFECT.

these hats are very crisp and sharp. they are great for funk or funk rock music. their wrinkled bottom hat produces this aweomse, unique sound. great quality, great value. sabian rocks.

I bought these hats a while ago and loved them. I was trying to go after a funky/metal sound with them. I tried them out and instantly fell in love. It was about a year after I had already been playing them that I heard that Chad Smith from the Chili Peppers sometimes uses them. After I heard that, I had all the conformation I needed that they were the ones for me.

These hi-hats are amazing. Sound great open or closed. They're able to cut through anything. Really impressed with the quality of these hats!
