This is the best crash/ride out there, and it's perfect for a timbale player, but if you are really going to lay into it, get an additional crash. The edge is very thin and cracks easily - I go through about one a year but now am using a separate crash for the big hits. The bell sound is incredible and perfect for Latin music.

This is my favourite crash in my set up. It's explosive with hot/dark tones making it unique among the AA models. It can also be used as a light ride in small jazz settings and offers nice sizzle when riding. The bell on this cymbal will rival with any ride cymbal. Medium-thin weight causes it to open up nicely. This is a very versatile crash. Buyers won’t be disappointed.

Excellent sounding crash ride, I've tried many differant brands, including the european brands like "paiste", the Sabian line of cymbals are very affordable, and sound great! I've had the opportunity to play not only trap drums, but also latin percussion drums like timbales, bongoes. The Sabian El Sabor crash ride has an excelent crash ride sound, and it also has a very good cascara sound when played on that large bell it has. Very good crash ride patterns also. I've been playing percussion instruments since the late sixties, and also through my years in the military.
