first off i want to say i think this kit looks great and is at a great price. to anyone who wants a kit that looks like its higher quality and not the basic everyday plain kit but doesnt have the cash for a mapex, tama, gretsch etc this is perfect. if you are excited about the cymbals dont be haha. they are terrible cymbals i would only recommend them to someone whos getting a kit for his kid. because they sound terrible right out of the box and break soon after. but they are cheap.the boom stands are alright except in the top they have a peice that comes loose easily and it makes the top wobble alot and its not too hard to fix just very annoying.the shells i do like alot. the heads are crap but if anything buy it for the shells and get new heads and cymbals and you will be set

I got this set on Christmas, and its better than expected compared to most "beginner" sets. The instructions are quite possible the worst ever made. I automatically set up the snare, bass, and hi-hats just from knowledge, but the tom toms were the hardest and had the worst instuctions. For some reason mine came with 2 boom stands but thats not a problem. It is an excellent crash and ok high hats, but ive started to dent a lot already. i get a lot of hours playing on it too. if you don't have a drum set, or you're completely upgrading from a junior sized, get this one.

My pulse set came in the mail yesterday and I am extremely pleased with it! I think it sounds great. The stock heads aren't as bad as everyone says they are, they get the job done. The cymbals also are not the greatest, but they certainly fill the bill. The bass drum and toms sound great, the snare less so, but it's not bad at all. My only beef, like many others, is that the instructions are horrible and mounting the toms is hard to figure out. I still haven't mounted one of them because one of the pieces doesn't seem to fit right, but it shouldn't be too hard to fix. All in all it's a fantastic set for a fantastic price!

Pulse Pro 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals Review

My review has two components, the drum set itself and customer service. In regards to the drum kit I am impressed with the set itself, the hardware (sturdier than I expected) and the cymbals. This kit is for my 9 year old and should last him for a long time as he starts out on his drum lessons. The sound is good (just tuned it) and he loves it. In regards to customer service the high-hat cymbal seat was broken upon delivery. I called in to get a new part and asked about the status of the drums since they had not arrived. It appears that the set I ordered - chrome - were no longer in stock so that part of the order had been canceled (unknown to me). The agent did send me the drum sets priority overnight with the hope of having it for my son's birthday but it came in the following Monday (at least he tried). The set that came in was silver and not chrome, but that wasn't a huge deal, they still look nice. The replacement part that came in wasn't right for the high-hat so they had to resend it. The second one that came in wasn't right either so I just called and they are sending out a complete high-hat kit. It will be 3 weeks from time of initial delivery before my son's kit is fully complete which I'm not happy about. The agents have been helpful but there seems to be a breakdown in communication between them and the shipping department since I told them the exact size of the replacement part I needed. Hopefully the new high-hat will arrive in the next few days and he can finally enjoy the whole set.

I got this set recently, and I was blown away when I first played it. The toms make for great rolls and transitions. Of course, they can't sound awesome with stock heads, so remo rings really help. The tom mounting was hard to do, since the instructions suck. I figured it out in like, 15 minutes, though. The bass is absolutely amazing. With my last set, I had to stuff my entire room into the bass before it sounded decent, but I only had to put a couple of blankets into this bass before it sounded good. The snare is kinda meh, but remo rings make it sound really nice. Overall, I'd totally recommend you buy this set. Just, get new cymbals. The stock cymbals are a joke.
