But this shell pack offers 2 high-gloss lacquer and 3 vintage-wrapped finishes with chrome drum hardware. The Pearl MCX shell pack also has the standard Masters OptiMount, spurs, floor tom brackets and legs, and steel tension rods. The drum shells are constructed using Pearl's exclusive SST (Superior Shell Technology) manufacturing process.

This set in one word.....AMAZING. The bass drum is a cannon. Even with the cheap batter head on it. I was a little dissapointed with the single ply remos that came on the time . I put some evens ec2 on them and they just sing. Tuned high or low theses are some of the best drums I've ever played on. And the craftsmanship..... phenomenal. I took them out of the box and my jaw dropped seeing the finish (black sparkle fade for me). The pictures don't do it justice. This could be the only set you would have to buy for the rest of your life and every time you get behind it, it feels like the first time to play it. great price and an even better drums. I highly recommend.

All I can say is, WOW. These drums really rock. They come with fresh, crisp REMO's that sound good right out of the box. I prefer this over Mapex Customs.
