Sounds better than just about any Cymbal out there. Looks better than just about any cymbal out there. Cracks faster than just about any cymbal out there. Have not tried Paiste Cymbols yet, just their cymbals. Give me a three year factory gaurantee and I'll bite again.

Like many reviewers have said, this crash sounds amazing. Rich and bright, a perfect compliment to my dark Sabian HHX evolution. It did well, for about 2 years. Then a crack on the edge showed up and spread quickly. I'm not the softest player but certainly know how to treat an exquisite cymbal like this one. Guess not. Damn you Paiste!!! It feels like dating a hot AND intelligent chick who you later find out has the herp.

Disapointing Cymbol

I had bought the same cymbal but the 18" version and I liked how it sounded and wanted the 16" to match it. I play in a hardcore band and I am in some experimental/metal projects as well. I don't chop at my cymbols, but live I do play hard. The 18" started to crack after about 6 months of use. This disappointed me a lot because I had paid good money for the cymbol and I liked the sound of it a lot. I have been a big fan of the Sabian AAX line and previously had 16" and 18" dark crashes that lasted me a very long time while also enduring a lot of abuse. Even though the 18" paiste reflector crash broke, I still have the 16" crash after but I HATE IT. The sound is awful. It has this awful awkward sound to it. I like dark cymbols a lot, but this just sounds like a z-custom. It doesn't cut through anything like a smaller cymbol should. It is also way over priced for the quality and sound of the cymbol. I hope the cymbol will break soon so I can send it in and get my money back. To anyone who is looking for a quality cymbol at a good price, STEER CLEAR OF THESE CYMBOLS. The general concensus I have about Paiste's is that they break easily and through my experience with them it is true. Maybe go with the 18" but again beware that it will probably break on you after a short period of time and for the amount they charge for it you could probably get a much better cymbol.

I just got my new sweetheart about a week ago. I already have 5 crashes, but have had my eye on this beauty as well as the Dark Energy (which will be my next and final purchase).
I was looking for the perfect blend cymbal to go between my Full and Mellow, and this is it. This cymbal is basically a darker version of the Full and introduces my Mellow perfectly.
The Crystal is glass shattering bright, and the Full is medium bright as it is a more evenly balanced cymbal. The Mellow and Fast are darker. The Power I would consider heavy bright. My next purchase will be the Dark Energy as it is said to be very dark so that will either follow up my Fast or go between my Mellow and Fast since it has also been said to sound like a combo of the Full/Fast.
The Reflector is as it has been stated. It is dark, shimmery, and beautiful. It definitely stands out amongst my other Signatures in looks as it is a very shiny, gorgeous cymbal. It looks good while is kicks a**. What more could ask for? Once again, Paiste is the master.

I had this cymbal for a little over a year and then as I was playing one day I was very disappointed to see there was a crack about 1/2" long from the outside spreading in towards the center. After a while I drilled the end of the crack to try and keep it from spreading and it had also broke in 2 other spots.
This cymbal sounds AMAZING but it sucks to throw down $ on a crash and have it break so soon.
