I bought this cymbal new today. The wash is truely dark and equally as dynamic. At first, it tends to disappear in the mix when playing with the band, but upon listening to the recording, I could hear every stroke clearly. The bell cuts through nicely and has a medium sustain. Overall, I am thrilled to have this cymbal with my other Paistes. It adds a completely different atmosphere to the music.
