This ride is built like a tank. Get a good heavy stand to anchor this thing down. Played soft, hard, on the bell or as a crash ride this cymbal sounds excellent. The heavy build of this ride makes it perfect for fast play or jazz swing rythms. The bell sound can be as strong or soft as you want it to be. This cymbal is extremely versatile and probably one of the best available for the price.

I got this 21" ride right after Christmas, and i love it!! it has an awesome sound for jazz, but can also meat up to a rock sound. the only thing is that these Alpha cymbals get finger prints on them easily. Also, it can get just a little bit washy, but if you get a perfect amount of duct tape on it, that can completely fix it.

Wow I have had this for about 2 months, and I've had it in multiple environments; it doesn't disappoint. It has a great ping sound, especially with a small tipped stick. The thing that I really like about it is that it is very versitle. It can light up in a rock environment, while it can be subtle and trashy in a jazz placement. It has just a little bit too much wash however, but can be easily fixed with some duct tape. And finally the bell: its not too loud, but not too soft either. really nice balance. Overall, very much worth the money.
