A classic. The unique rippled bottom prevents air lock, giving an overall sharp "chick" and splashy open sound. Very clear projection.

Made with CuSn8 bronze for a bright, cutting, and energetic tone. Great for live and studio gigs requiring high energy and the utmost in precision and musicality. Heavier models have been added to round out the original classic series by providing increased volume.

I have the 15's and I'm in ABSOLUTE love with them. I say you get the 15's the 14's when I played them were a little toooo high pitched. But if you like sloooooshy sounding cymbals get the 15's!!!

Great sound! Just great quality hats. The wavy bottom really brings out the sizzle in these big boys. Started with Paiste and never looked back since. Don't know how you can break multiple pairs of hats, could be bad luck, or maybe Technique?;)My Paistes have never let me down. Fixin to get me a pair of 15" Soundedge here @ Musicians Friend, really dig the service!

These are probably the best hi-hats I've ever heard. I have owned several pairs. Unfortunately I have come to the point where I am going away from the Soundedge. I will stick with the 2002 series since there are none better, but will be switching to the heavy hats. As I said, I have cracked up several sets of these....both top and bottom hats, so it's just not reasonable to stay with them for me. Guessing they sell just the top hat alone for a reason.?.? Anyways, a great cymbal I would suggest to anyone

These hats can get LOUD really quick. I can't say enough about them. I've been playing 15" Sabian Sizzle hats the past 20 years, I thought I would play Sabian the rest of my life. Then I found my ears really liking the sound I was hearing from some of the concerts I had been to. What did they all have in common? Paiste! I replaced my whole setup with 2002s, with the exception of my sweet sounding 18" Giant Beat. Back to these hats, they will literally force you out of any bad habits because even through the wash you still hear defined stick work. I've had them for 2 weeks now and I've cleaned up my technique. I know everyone has loyalties to certain equipment but after hearing and playing these I couldn't resist making the change!

These hats are LOUD! Great for Rock or even heavy rock/metal. (In fact I think the drummer from G.W.A.R uses 2002's) They really are top notch quality when it comes to cymbals. These have a nice sharp crisp when closed, but have a loud, washy yet controlled sound when half opened.

Right now I have these hats and a 2002 16" Crash. I plan on filling out the rest of my set with 2002's because they really are the best!
