Another good paiste

I have owned several paiste cymbals over the years and the 16" 2002 crash was no dissapointment. The sound is very similar to the alpha projection crash or 802 crash though it has a bit higher tone and puts out a larger sound. This cymbal is built heavy.

This cymbal is amazing. I own the 16 inch crash and it has the full glassy shimmer that you expect from a quality cymbal. As far as the price, with cymbals you get what you pay for. Overall this is an awesome cymbal for any application.

I just used my Paiste 2002 22" Crash at a show the day after I received it and everyone was impressed with its sound. Not only did it cut through the band, but it had a nice short sustain that made it a pleasure to listen to. It is loud without being annoying. I'm back in the studio this month and I'm also making a drum sample CD. I can't wait to add more 2002's to my setup.

Wow. What a bright sounding cymbal. The price is steep but if your really looking upgrade, the 2002 line from Paiste is it. The 2002's are hand hammered and lathed and you can hear it in the Crash.

A must buy!

I own the 20" size of this cymbal and I love it. I tested searched for many 20" crashes between Zildjian, Meinl, Sabian, other Paiste series', etc. This is the ideal crash for me. I love the brightness and the overtones of the cymbal as well as Paiste cymbals as a whole. Check out the "Giant Beat" cymbals by Paiste as well if you like the 2002's.
