I have been playing drums for 26 years and never went and spent the money on a high end or custom kit until now. I am able to afford this bass drum and will add the other pieces as I go along.

This drum sound great. Very resonant and punchy tone. I slapped an Evans EMAD on it and still had to use the bass drum pillow that came with it to muffle it for my small club gigs. Sounds like a cannon with the 8 ply maple shells..

I liked that I didn't have to tighten the tension rods up high to achieve the tone and response that I like. This is due to the finely cut bearing edges and specially designed lugs.

Pacific has nailed it and offered a convenient way for us to get a high end kit, affordably, piece by piece.
