This is a great snare. If uput the right heads on it, top and bottom, then tune it up high and tight you will bang on this drum all day. A must have!

This snare sounds great. It really has a nice, loud pop to it. My only complaints are the stock heads and the rims. The heads are crap and the rims began to bend after i tightened it as tight as i could(how ever they were still usable). i replaced the heads and put some unused tom rems on it and it was great.

I bought this snare drum about 2 years ago and I have used it as my main snare ever since then. It has great rim shot sound and since I tighten it up pretty high and it also has a wonderful pop. This snare can do it all>

I purchased this snare about two years ago and the stock head sounded alright but I then bought an Evans g1 coated head head (single ply for higher pitch) and I cranked it as tight as I could and it really pops! It's not so good for ghost notes or quiet rolls but for a side snare for loud funky grooves, it's great. The only downside is that the throw off has loosened to where it wiggles back and forth, but still functions correctly. Over all a good tonally diverse and good snare, but, you DO get what you pay for.

I put a remo coated reverse dot head on it and used a hazy ambassador on the snare side. What a great sound! I tune it pretty high and it just thrills me to hit it. Little ring from it. It sounds really good from the front of the kit, as well, as sitting behind the kit!
