this is my first kit ever and i got it in the aqua blue and they sound amazing,just as good as my friends 800 dollar yamaha kit, and the looks are pretty snazzy combined with a great price i'd call it a great buy

This is by far my favorite pieces of equipment I own. They are very solid drums. The drum head are the only thing that aren't 100% great. If you're really picky get some evans or remo drum heads. But these drums are fine by themselves and you can't find better value on this site

I bought this drumset from a local music store and I have to admit that other than the hardware not being top-notch, this drumset sounds great! I just recently put new heads on this set (Evans EC2's) and it sounds like a high-end set! I'm very pleased with how the drums themselves sound. As for the cymbals, I'm going to upgrade to Paiste PST3's. I realize this is a beginner set so, once again, the hardware isn't that great. But this is a great buy if you want to save money on a fairly good drumset! Good job PDP!
