The Meinl Pickup Cajon is equipped with the DST pickup microphone and the A1.2 preamp system with volume control from B-Band. This active system includes a specially designed preamp, high-quality 1/4" output jack, and a durable battery.

The structure is light in mass, adding very little weight to the instrument. The sound reproduction is amazingly pure and clear. This cajon is a nice piece of hardware. I love playing it and the pick up was well worth it. Although I did not like the sound of the snares. I ended up taping the snares into for sections to creat a tighter sound. It is difficult to get that bass out but a little play with the face plate and you will get that sweet spot.
