I special ordered this cymbal from Guitar Center and was extremely excited to get it home. What a mistake I made. I put right back in the bag after playing it for five minutes. I am by no means a pro drummer, but I've been playing for about 5 months, and have been a guitarist for for 5 years, and I know good instrument tone when I hear it. This cymbal has AWFUL tone for a crash cymbal. I have Zildjian ZBT's and they have a bright, clear, defined tone when I hit them. This cymbal sounded like my 20" ride, not a crash. I am extremely disapointed in this product. Do yourself a favor, BUY ZILDJIAN!!!!!!!!

For the price there just isn't a better cymal. It's close to price range of the Zildjian ZHT but I prefer this cymbal by far. if cash is tight and you cant afford the Byzance or one of the Mb series, buy this crash.

I switched from Zildjian to Meinl over a year ago cause I kept cracking Zildjians. I have a 17" powerful crash for over a year now and it sounds great, takes a good beating and is still crack free. I can say all of my Meinl "Classics" such as my chinas and hi-hats are lasting a lot longer. No cracks in any of them!

i'd have to say that threw the last couple years cymbals were the hardest things to replace. Now this cymbal is makin me switch from zildjian to meinl. They're loud enough and have much better effects to choose from. they also hold up hella better then zildjian even tho they do sound quite awesome they like to shadder. Meinl cymbals also best from metal.
