Flat Black, 14X5.5 Inches Flat Black, 13X3.5 Inches Flat Black, 14X6.5 Inches

Black chrome hardware and a transparent black finish on bird's-eye maple gives this versatile drum a sleek, stealthy appearance. Features low-mass, single-point-of-contact lugs, easy-to-operate throw-off, nylon tension rod washers, and precision-machined brass lug nuts. Excellent for live and studio performance. 6-1/2" size produces slightly deeper pitch with more body - an excellent all-around drum capable of thunderous rim shots. 5-1/2" size produces slightly higher pitch with more cutting crack. 3-1/2" x 13" size is the highest pitched drum in this series, resulting in wicked, cutting rimshots that absolutely explode through any dense sound mix.

I have many snares that I love to play (Ludwig supraphonic, Slingerland Artist, Slingerland Krupa, Yamaha Musashi, 5.5" Black Panther) but I CANNOT bring myself to play out with anything but this snare! It's amazing, versatile, warm, responsive, etc. The price is a little prohibitive but I picked mine up cheap at a music store closing sale.

I have played this snare at Church week after week after week for a few years now with my mapex orion kit.. and this is by far one of the best snares I have ever heard. Just the amount of punch and versatlilty that screams out of this snare is amazing. Superb at marching feel beats, amazing with solid rock druming, beautiful jazz feel and the rim shot sound is so tight and full of attack its amazing the differant sounding rim shots you can get from moving the stick a cm shorter or longer when doing rimshots.

First of all, the flat black birdseye maple finish with the black hardware is absolutely gorgeous!!! I put an Aquarian Super 2 coated head on this black beauty, tuned it and fell in love. I can't wait to hit the road with this fine instrument.

I've owned and played a lot of snares, and this one tops the list. Perfect blend of crack, depth, and volume (I bought the 6.5"). And not only does it sound incredible live, but mic placement, overall sound, and "mix-sitting" is effortless with this drum. Highly recommended for ALL applications.
