Man this drum cuts when it needs to and really can support alot of finesse. It has the crack of walnut that you expect, and i highly recommend buying this drum if possible, if you want a new sounds that sounds great to boot, this one is it!

I got this snare drum the first week that Mapex started selling it on ebay. As soon as I got it and put on a new head (The one that came with it was autographed) it sounded AMAZING! I, personally, got this snare drum because I knew it would be very crack-ey and snap-ey. It is exactly that. If you want a loud, cutting, and exploding snare drum that looks and sounds brilliant, this is the one you're looking for.

P.S. You should totally use the Aquarian Hi-Energy head (It should come with the drum) it really is awesome. It's a compliment to the sound of this amazing shell.

This snare is awesome right out of the box it sounds amazing its got a classy look to it and the the black hardware is sick. The 12" makes the snare punches through with a krack just to make your eardrum scream I recommend this snare 100%
