I am a professional touring musician with a group called that 70s band. I also own a slick Tempus kit and a Yamaha power tour. This kit gives our audience what they expect to see and hear. I have worked hard to tweak and tune it just right and sound techs are blown away. A joy to play, nothing but praise from all who see the band. I run Evans eq heads on toms and snare. Remo powerstroke 3 on kick. Ludwig H/H 6.5 bronze snare. Unmatchable 2 and 4 power

If you play medium clubs yes! No amplification needed. Emperors on the batter, ambassadors on the front, felt strips on both sides of the bass, crank the tension up, and brace yourself for more magic than you can handle (if you can really play - if still learning, this kit will showcase your weaknesses and need for a double bass pedal- buy something else) love it! rock it! live it!

This is the greatest set I've ever seen in action. I am going to get one in the near future. The only thing I've heard bad about it is that you have to tune it different to get that Bonzo sound and replace a couple heads. This set blew me away just watching a video of it on youtube. Worth every penny! John would be proud. Buy it!!!

If you want that Bonham sound, this is it! But DO NOT PORT THE FRONT HEAD! For heads, a Remo Powerstroke3 on the bass batter and CS Black Dots on the toms and keep the stock Ambassadors on the bottoms. I can garantee that will give you the big, deep sounds you want out of this kit! For hardware, first lose the Speed King and get a real pedal - a DW5000 or DW9000 in my opinion! Then get a vintage rail consolette tom mount and your on your way to Bonham-ville! This kit kicks serious *ss! I've owned lots of sets in my 35+ years drumming - none ever sounded this good or made me feel as proud as playing these! What are you waiting for? You know you want 'em.... DO IT! You won't regret it a bit!
