Latin Percussion LP845-K Mini Timbales are fashioned after LP's famous full-size Tito Puente Timbales. The timbale set with clamp has 6" and 8" diameter drums with 3-1/4" depth.

The drums' chrome-plated steel timbale shells have authentic Cuban-style tuning. LP mini timbales create a dry sound, making them an ideal addition to any percussion setup that can easily be incorporated into drum kits.

Each LP timbale set includes a heavy-duty, chrome tilting mount that attaches to any 3/8" diameter rod.

OK, i haven't had these drums for long but they are really good (so far). except of course for the fact that they are really hard to tune. they sounded really good out of the box, but as any drummer i felt the need to tinker with them. i tuned them really low and really high, but i couldn't get that exactley out of the box sound. i got them sounding pretty close, though. i also have them mounted on my crash cymbal stand near my toms, and the mounting braket (the one attached to the stand) will often come loose and will have to be retightened. But other than those minor inconvieniences they are really, really cool.

Wow, I was impressed! I was saving up for TAMA's but I got these instead. These are much better than the TAMAs because they have more of a Latin- feel then a crunch. I say buy them!

I find the sound incredible for such a small size. Without loading up your kit for traveling, this set has everything you need for latin type rythms( if your the only percusion in the band). Great sharp sound, and depth. Best bang for buck. Excellent clamping rig. Top quality.

Excellent clamping versatility,

I own these Timbales, and may I say, they are primo. I have them attached to a cymbal stand and i rock them out on my set. They have the perfect sound for any latin/arabian/jungle jam. Here's an interesting fact... I've recorded them and played them backwards, and if you're interested in weird experimental music, it sounds so incredibly cool.
