The 10" x 8" and 12" x 9" toms are mounted on a GTS suspension system that's designed to allow every ounce of the maple's full tones to ring free and clear. Cheap Hardware

I cannot recommend this set because of the very cheap harware that is used. First problem is the set came in two box's shipped one month apart. I was missing one tom mount which took another two weeks to get. Second issue is all on the lugs were loose. Two of them almost feel off in my hands. I retorque all lugs and replaced all heads with Evans. Next problem is the R/H bass drum spur adjustment clamp broke while I was playing and the set rolled over on it's right side. Very bad! I have called in twice now to get a new spur but I still don't have anything. Its been almost two weeks for this problem. By USA made only. You get what you pay for.

The set was perfect right out of the box, I was impressed with the finish. I have owned it for a year now and it still is flawless. I changed the heads after a couple of weeks so that I could hear the full potential of the drums. The heads I chosed were emads on bass Clear emperors on toms the snare never gets used but with coated ambassadors it's not bad. This set has a great resonant warm sound, and it records great. This set was made to be played live everytime I take it out the compliments com in on the finish and sound. Speaking of sound it projects well without mics and sounds great with mics. If this set was lost I would surely buy it again.

I've had this kit for about two years now. It's a good looking kit that sounds great. I have Evans hydraulic heads on the toms and bass, and a reverse dot head on the snare. Like with any kit, the sound depends on the choice of heads and proper tuning technique. This kit gives you a lot of bang for your buck and will not dissapoint.

I play these drums at church and the sound quality is awesome. I'm not disappointed with any aspect. I've had the drums for almost a year now so they've had plenty of play. Make sure you change the drum heads when you receive the set.

I was debating between this kit and the X7 from PDP but im glad the spokesperson talk me into this kit! The toms are so warm and easy to tune..the bass drum is a killer. I get complaints that sometimes its to loud even with a pillow in it! The snare takes some good tweaking bit it works. But most drummers have more than one snare so i use it as an effects snare. I have EC resonants on bottom and G2s on top and it takes no extra dampening, moongels, etc! BUY IT!
