I'm a metal drummer and having a few kits (the last one i was using was my Tama Starclassic Performer 8 piece) And i must say while i will always Love Tama My heart goes out to This little 4 piece outfit When i bought this one i knew it was my death metal kit...gotta Love and trust Gretsch they know what they're doing!!!

Well the first thing I have to say is simply, wow! I ordered this set after having set my Pearl Export 6 piece up as a 4 piece. I started shopping around for something in budget that had looks and the sizes I wanted, having Gretsch in mind from the start. Lets face it, Pearl Exports have a reputation so it was a big set of shoes to fill. I got the kit along with an Evans EMAD 2 batter head for the bass drum, an ST Dry on the snare and EC2's on the toms. The size of the bass mixed with the EMAD head, the sound is simply amazing, it's simply a cannon. The tom's put out a good sound also, along with the warmth of the snare. For any one looking for a good kit with the looks, the sound along with the more simplistic 4 piece set up, you should definitely invest in one of these kits.

By the way the Exports just did NOT compare, especially not the bass.

I got this set for christmas, and I was amazed when I first heard the bass drum. Its so deep, its like there is a mic in it playing through the sub woofers. The snare is great too. The finish is just stunning. I would definitely reccomend this set.

Well let's see......this kut is my 2nd, and not to exagurate but....it is amazing. They have such a deep warm beautiful tone to them. And...the bass drum booms like no other. if your looking for a kit thats nice and lets your wallet breathe, look no further.

This kit sounds amazing, especially the snare and bass. It looks pretty nice, too. It comes with Evans coated G1 heads on the snare and tom batters, and the bass drum heads are pre-muffled. You should definetly get this kit if you are looking for a 4-piece kit for playing any kind of rock. I love it!!!
