This Catalina Ash Fusion Gretsch Shell Pack is designed with power in mind for the drum player who is looking for full, penetrating tones and solid overall features. Ash wood produces a lively drum tone that projects a clear, cutting sound. The snare quickly reacts with an aggressive tone that bites with authority and the UV gloss finish fully reveal the visually striking ash wood grain pattern throughout the drum set. Other features include pro tom holders, heavy 2.5 triple-flanged hoops, die-cast bass drum claws, telescopic spurs, and the GTS tom suspension system. Cymbals and hardware sold separately.

I only use Gretsch,DDrum,Tama, and Pulse drum sets and these set is definetly in my top favorites. The sound is great the shells are Well made and look great Too, i Would recomend this drum set to anyone who is semi pro to pro its a great deal. i love it and im shure you will to.

wow this is a great seat, not a set for amateurs, but semi pro to pro, if you dont know how to set up drums real well it might be confusing but ive been drumming for 8 years so i had it up in like 20 minutes. out of the box the rack toms are already tuned pretty good, but always mess with it to your likeing, i made it lower. but its not the best drumset for metal but put hydraulic heads on it like i will it will be just fine. great quality, color doesnt matter but if you get the cobalt blue it looks black out of the box cause it is a lot darker than the picture shows so dont think you got the wrong color put a light up to it. but over all great tone great features, bass is like a cannon it is real deep and strong that and the floor tom are the only ones you to put the heads on and the rim obviously. so great drum set especially for the price. five stars.

This is a great buy. The toms are punchy with a boost in the mid-range frequency so they cut through the mix. The factory heads are pretty good, but i replaced them with evans genera g1 coated. By doing that, it increased the low range just enough. Great tone. The only downside is the jump between 12" tom and 16". Its requires a little extra tuning, but if you tune them right, you can still get a minor 3rd interval with good tone. The price makes the set even better. If you can afford it, get these drums.

This is a very clean, crisp set. The attack is somewhat punchy, and the sustain has a very musical tone. The bass drum has a very unique, clear sound that sounds excellent when mic'd. The whole kit mixes very well when recorded. I love it.

This set is amazing. The stock tom heads are good enough that I haven't changed them yet. Snare head wasn't my style. Same excellent Gretsch quality. This looks like a much more expensive set. Gun metal chrome is sick! 8" tom is a nice addition. Only downside is you get 8,10,12..and then 16. Sound gap in there for rolls unless you tune it differently. Bass drum is wicked as well. Get it! You won't be dissapointed.
