Modeled after Gretsch's eternally classic be-bop configuration, this set conjures the essence of the many great Gretsch jazz masters. The Progressive Bop kit features classic 6-ply USA Custom shells, the same shells Gretsch has been using since the late 1950s. This kit includes traditional be-bop sizes, which consist of an 18" x 14" bass drum, 12" x 8" tom, 14" x 14" floor tom, and a 5" x 14" 8-lug snare drum. The Cadillac green finish combined with the Round Gretsch Badges give it a classy, vintage look. The bass drum is finished with silver sparkle inlay ad vintage T-rods and has a silver 125th Anniversary logo affixed to the shell underneath the lacquer. Hardware and cymbals sold separately.

Each shell contains a vintage orange/white internal shell label that is uniquely serialized. Other 125th Anniversary features include Fiberskyn resonant bass drum head with an offset Gretsch logo and coated batter/resonant heads with 125th Anniversary logos printed on each.
