These beaters are very good. They give that nice "thud" and "punch" out of your bass drum. The only way these beaters wont bust your head is if you have some kind of protection pad. I recommend the Aquarian Kick Pad. These beaters also feel lighter and I can play faster with them. They also give you a louder bass drum.

USED!!! Right out of the package and on to my pearl powershifter double pedal and I was rocking. I use a Remo power stroke and a aquarian Kick Pad for protection and I play heavy alot of times and not one dent in my head. Not even a scratch. So those of you who want the amazing Thud and Kick these give you just get an aquarian Kick Pad and go to town. These are not head killers and I love them!!!

The first day I got these I replaced my old beaters, wich were the stock ones on my pdp double pedals. After about 45 minutes of playing it broke my 2 month old Evans Emad head. So later I went to the store to buy a new head. I didnt have enough money to get another emad, so I bought some shitty remo head, power stroke 3. Within a weak my head broke again, and right now, I have no head, because I dont have any money to buy a new head, Im only 14. Overall the beaters were bassically the exact same thing as my stock beaters except they break heads, If I were you, dont get them, they are cheap, but I would suggest something else.

I got 2 of these for my DW-5000 double bass pedals, and I love them.. I was previously using DW beaters with felt on one side, and plastic on the other. But these wood ones, while they dont sound too much different, feel alot better to me.

They feel lighter than my DW beaters, and I can hold a constant double bass beat a lot better/faster
